2019 - THE IDEA TAKES ROOT
Green Cactus is the vision of Andrea, whose years of experience in the food and coffee world led him to create a place that truly reflects his values: great food, exceptional coffee, and a relaxed environment.
In the summer of 2019, Andrea rolled up his sleeves and began renovating our original Streatham location by hand, from the ground up.
DEC 17, 2019 - OPENING DAY IN STREATHAM
After months of hard work, Green Cactus opened its doors on December 17th, 2019.
Andrea’s dream became a reality just in time to meet the challenges of the coming year.
2020 - SURVIVING COVID
Despite the obstacles, we kept going, adapting to the times and becoming a place that our local community could rely on.
2020-2023 - Becoming a local favourite
In the years that followed, Green Cactus became more than a coffee shop; it became a community spot for morning coffee, delicious focaccia, and a laid-back vibe that feels like home.
JAN 19, 2024 - EXPANDING TO TULSE HILL
When the time was right, Andrea seized the opportunity to grow the Green Cactus family. Renovations began in November 2023, bringing Andrea’s signature touch to our second location.
We proudly opened our Tulse Hill location in early 2024, bringing our famous coffee, focaccia, and atmosphere to a new neighborhood.
NOVEMBER 2024 - ROASTING OUR OWN COFFEE
As of November 2024, Green Cactus began roasting its own coffee beans, enriching the coffee experience and bringing us even closer to Andrea’s original vision.
